Learning Tools changed our lives. That sounds trite and made-up but it's true, my child's life was changed for the better after the session we did with Sophia. My kiddo has struggled with some cognitive and behavioral stuff their whole lives and we have always been quick to find workable solutions and supports where we need them. Last summer we decided there needed to be some math help to get through the deregulation of summer and bolster our kiddo until September so we called around and found Learning Tools. This program is so much more than tutoring. Sophia took a deep look into the way our child's brain works and how they are in the world. Every lesson reorganizes a concept that the brain can use more readily. There are tools learned and used in this program that my kiddo uses every day in any subject. If your child is struggling in school or life in general in ways that look extra difficult to you, do yourself and your child a big favor and look into this program. We will always be grateful for this life-changing program. Side note: our kiddo has always had "struggling" academic grades. We are amazed and relieved this year to be seeing all grades in the 80% and higher range for the first time ever. Thank you, Sophia! -Esther

Sophia's ability to connect with children and draw them in to the program is remarkable. The Davis Dyslexia program itself is unique in the way it reaches children. I have been incredibly pleased with both the program and Sophia's work with my children.
I have two very different children with different learning issues and she worked with each to bring out their best and help them to reach their goals that they set. After years of working with various programs and specialists, our older child is now well on his way to reading and catching up on his reading level. Though it has required diligence and hard work, it has been very worth it! Our daughter did the math program and it completely boosted her confidence and her skills in math. She is not filled with the same dread she was before. And as a bonus, it quickly improved her reading level to the point that she has become a non-stop reader.

We strongly endorse Sophia as a facilitator for the Dyslexia Davis Program. Our family has greatly benefited from her services, particularly for our two children who have dyslexia. At the onset of the program, our son, who not only faced learning challenges but also experienced severe migraines, found immense relief and support through Sophia's considerate accommodations. She ensured his comfort by allowing sufficient breaks and regularly checking on his well-being.
Our son participated in the program while in the 5th grade, during which he was home-schooled due to his migraines. His Individualized Education Program (IEP) placed him at a 2nd-grade level in mathematics, and his writing output was minimal. Following his completion of the program, we observed significant improvements in both his academic performance and overall health. He was able to rejoin in-person schooling for the 6th grade, performing at grade level in mathematics and showing progress in his writing skills.

Having Sophia come work with our son was one of the best decisions we made when he was 6-years-old. Sophia has an amazing patience with kids and was a welcome addition to our family as she came to work 1:1 with our son for a few weeks.
The Davis program can help reset and retrain the family on how a picture thinker’s mind works, and provides individuals and families the tools they need to succeed and overcome their challenges. Sophia spends time training the whole family on how best to succeed in shifting our teaching and reading methods, and reset our plan.
It takes work and practice, there is no easy button. However, since working with Sophia, we have seen positive improvement with our son’s confidence and comprehension with reading and learning new words.
