Davis® Foundations for Reading
Young learners deserve the best start we can give them.
Davis® Foundations for Reading is an individualized program for children ages 5 to 7, done together with a parent. This isn’t a program done to your child — it’s one done with your family. Learning techniques and activities are keyed to your child’s developmental level, so they experience real success in a fun, playful setting from the very start.
The program runs 2-3 hours a day, over 10-15 days, depending on your child’s age and pace. A parent or support person participates in at least half of every session — you’ll gain the same skills and tools your child is learning, so you can keep supporting their reading long after the program ends.
The Program’s Goal
- To provide lifelong learning skills, not just a short-term fix
- To give parents the confidence and skills to keep working with their child after the program
- To provide children with the conceptual skills needed to develop real reading fluency and comprehension

What’s Included
You’ll receive a Foundations for Reading kit with everything needed for the program: modeling clay and Koosh balls, alongside hands-on guidance for you as the parent.
